The first microtonal tuba ensemble in the world

Berlin-based Brit Robin Hayward and Norwegians Peder Simonsen and Martin Taxt have been releasing records with Microtub since 2011. Not only do they have their own instruments built, they regularly use their self-developed Hayward Tuning Vine software to compose microtonally. And if there is one place where those intoxicatingly subtle sound shifts of three tubas take on an extra dimension, it has to be STAM's divinely reverberating monastic refectory.
