An intense performance around ‘Fidélité’ by Georges Aperghis, with new work by Ellen Jacobs and Ward De Jonghe

‘Ne parle pas de ton coeur, c'est pur vanité‘ is just one of the many intriguing phrases that loom up in “Fidélité”, Georges Aperghis’ ominous work for harp and voice from the early 1980s. It inspired Ellen Jacobs' new composition “MADA”, in which harpist and performer slowly free themselves from a suffocating straitjacket. Ward De Jonghe's fresh ‘C’ is also a reply to ‘Fidélité’ and an exciting dialogue between two artists. From uncomfortable and quasi-psychotic to free and bubbling with life energy: get ready for a fascinating and emotional trip.
